ដប់ថ្ងៃក្រោយ ការយាងឡើងទៅស្ថានសួគ៌ ក្នុងអំឡុងពិធីបុណ្យថ្ងៃទី៥០ ព្រះវិញ្ញាណបរិសុទ្ធបានយាងចុះមកសណ្ឋិតលើពួកសិស្ស ដោយមានស្នូរខ្យល់បក់យ៉ាងខ្លាំង និងមានអណ្ដាតភ្លើងបែកចេញពីគ្នាមកនៅលើពួកគេម្នាក់ៗ។

ដោយទទួលបានអំណាច ពួកសិស្សបានចាប់ផ្តើមនិយាយភាសាបរទេសផ្សេងៗ ដែលអនុញ្ញាតឱ្យអ្នកដែលមកពីទូទាំងចក្រភពរ៉ូម បានឮអំពី «ការអស្ចារ្យរបស់ ព្រះជាម្ចាស់» ជាភាសាកំណើតរបស់ពួកគេ។

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost (Acts 2)

Ten days after the Ascension, during the festival of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples with the sound of a mighty wind and the appearance of tongues of fire. Empowered, the disciples began speaking in various foreign languages, allowing visitors from across the Roman Empire to hear the "wonders of God" in their own native tongues. When some onlookers mocked them as being drunk, Peter stood and delivered a bold sermon, explaining that this was the work of God and that Jesus—whom they had crucified—was the risen Lord and Christ. Stricken by the truth, the crowd asked how to respond; Peter called them to repent and be baptized. That day, 3,000 people joined the faith, forming a devoted​ Christian community that shared everything, prayed together, and grew daily.
